British College of Ayurveda and IPSA Establish a Pioneering Partnership in Ayurvedic Education

London, UK - A momentous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was finalized on May 12th, 2024, signaling a significant alliance between the British College of Ayurveda (BCA) and the Institute of Poly Scientific Ayurveda (IPSA), a division of SGP, Saiganga Panakeia  Private. Limited., India. This partnership unites distinguished leaders in Ayurveda from the UK and India to foster advancements in the field.

The signing event was graced by the presence of Mr. Amarjit Bhamra, Secretariat of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Traditional Sciences in the UK Parliament, underscoring the importance of this collaboration at both academic and governmental levels.

Representing BCA were Dr. Mauroof Athique and Dr. Shanta Godagama, who joined hands with Dr. Polisetty Ravishankar from IPSA. Dr. Ravishankar, renowned for his 32 years of transformative research in Ayurveda, has been instrumental in developing Poly Scientific Ayurveda, identifying key biomarkers for the core elements of Ayurvedic practice: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha and also is a pioneer in Creation of a AI and ML based IoT platform for Integratibe healthcare technology 

Dr. Shantagodagama, a stalwart in promoting Ayurveda within the UK and a former scientific advisor for traditional sciences to the UK government, together with Dr. Mauroof Athique, a respected Ayurvedic practitioner and leader at BCA, have both expressed deep respect for Dr. Ravishankar’s contributions to Ayurveda. Reflecting their commitment to this pioneering partnership, they have offered Dr. Ravishankar an 80% stake in the British College of Ayurveda.

This collaboration aims to elevate Ayurvedic practices, integrating them with modern scientific methodologies and expanding their global influence. Dr. Ravishankar advocates for a complementary relationship between Ayurveda and Allopathy, emphasizing that their coexistence enhances treatment options and patient outcomes.

The partnership will enhance IPSA’s educational offerings, equipping both modern and alternative medical practitioners with comprehensive skills to improve clinical outcomes. This educational initiative is expected to create a robust platform for diverse medical practices to thrive and contribute to enhanced health, prosperity, and well-being.
